Marie Antoinette, 2006

I love this shot so much, it looks like a painting.

I really dug Marie Antoinette. No, not because of the acting (it was terrible), not because I am addicted to anything related to the French Revolution (I am), but because Sofia Coppola managed to make one of the most visually stunning films I’d ever seen. The costumes were perfect, the parties seemed to deliciously lavish that I felt a twinge of envy, the color and lighting… Wonderful!

Sometimes being visually aesthetic makes up for everything else. I love this photo as well - it actually shows some character in the characters.
